New Technologies now available to you to enhance our ability to
care for you
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an optical signal
acquisition and processing method. It captures
micrometer-resolution, three-dimensional images from within
optical scattering media (e.g., biological tissue). Optical
coherence tomography is an
interferometric technique, typically employing
near-infrared light. The use of relatively long
wavelength light allows it to penetrate into the scattering
medium.
Confocal microscopy, another similar technique, typically
penetrates less deeply into the sample.
The Smart HD-OCT (Optical Coherence
Tomography)
RTVue-100 is the
most advanced and comprehensive OCT
system available today for retina, glaucoma and anterior segment
imaging, enabling simple and accurate management of
both retinal and glaucoma patients. Manufactured by Optovue, one
of the fastest growing firms in eye care history, it was
developed by the thought leaders of OCT and HRT technology and
was the first Fourier Domain OCT available in North America. The
RTVue-100 provides 5 micron resolution images and the fastest
capture time to produce informative and accurate information.

And our
Visual field analyser:
The Octopus 900. One of the most versatile
visual field analyser's available. This machine allows for both
static and kinetic field testing making it ideal for testing
everything from changes that may occur in patients with
glaucoma, to assessing the field of single binocular vision in
patients with eye movement disorders.
